I've been providing Chiropractic care to South Austin since 1992. I did my undergraduate studies at Tarleton State University and graduated cum laude from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1990. I've been a Chiropractic patient since the age of 12. My parents were going to a chiropractor who recommended that they have their kid's spine's checked because spinal misalignments or subluxations can result from the normal birth process, childhood falls while learning to walk or can be inherited. They learned from our chiropractor that subluxations interfere with our bodies' natural IT system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and the nerves which exit from the spine. The brain transmits messages to the body and the body back to the brain. If there is interference in communication from the brain to the body or from the body to the brain then problems or dis-ease will develop. In my case, after a thorough evaluation, the chiropractor found that I had subluxations in a part of my spine that controlled the function of my pancreas and I also had weakness in muscles that were related to the function of the pancreas. With further testing, he found that sugar was the cause of this weakness and by reducing the subluxation in my spine and removing sugar from my diet my body would heal and repair on its own. Having had a family history of diabetes my parents took this advice seriously and got me adjusted and took me off sugar. After a few months of getting adjusted and being off sugar, my muscles got stronger and I began to feel an improvement in how my body worked and felt. I was always a "husky" kid (my mom's nice way of saying I was fat), and after cutting out sugar from my diet I dropped a lot of weight. Now that was something I could get excited about.

That was the defining moment in my life when I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor.

My doctor saved me from the potential of a lifetime of obesity, diabetes, and who knows what else.

As I grew up I also had back and neck injuries related to playing football and getting into auto accidents. My chiropractor was there to help me through these problems too. He helped to prevent all the chronic spinal problems that my patients who haven't benefited from a lifetime of chiropractic care from an early age as I have- suffer from today. What a cool thing my parents did for me at such a young age. Since that time I have enjoyed the benefits of regular Lifestyle care. The intensity of my Lifestyle care changes with the intensity of my lifestyle. I have provided the same type of care for my wife and 4 kids since becoming a Chiropractor in 1990. Everyone deserves to be healthy from birth until their last breath of life. Health is dependent on having a healthy spine and nervous system and making healthy lifestyle choices.

I now look back on my Chiropractic experience and am grateful to my parents and my Chiropractor. God made me to do this job and I truly love what I do. I look forward to coming to the office every day with the opportunity to help others and maybe inspire a few to become chiropractors as well. One of the proudest moments of my life so far was watching my oldest son become a Chiropractor and join me in practice. It has been such a blessing to be an important part of many families' lives over the years. I've been doing this long enough that I get to see my patient's kids, kids! I look forward to meeting you and hope to have an opportunity to help you, your friends, and your family.

I've always been a part of the Chiropractic lifestyle, getting my first adjustment from my dad when I was only 4 minutes old! I started my own journey in healthcare at Akins High School where I graduated with an EMT certificate in 2011; I then went to Texas Lutheran University where I received a B.S. in Psychology. After undergraduate, I continued my education with Chiropractic College at Parker University where I graduated in 2018. I've always known I wanted to help people and I love the opportunity to give back to the South Austin community that raised me! My hobbies include camping, disc golf, and getting lost in the great outdoors!
